![]() ![]() Small things like characters dropping things and picking them up during a scene, just to add visual dynamism.UGH!! Obviously I just got back from seeing it. I love this film so much, seeing it three times has not been enough. Later on in the film you hear Jordan mention that Brad died of heart attack and after that things start going downhill for. Eventually Brad gets arrested and goes to jail for a few years. Early on in the movie you see Jordan (Leo) ask him to sell him a pen and he does so successfully. Small stuff too like when The Duchess has the blindfold removed, we hear about a "blushing bride". Ok in the movie Wolf of Wallstreet theirs the character Brad. He has helped nobody in the long run, least of all himself. we have seen the bad guy, now we are looking for a hero, for some counterpoint, we turn our eyes to denam. Then, quite profoundly, while a close up brings the G Man into the entire frame, the soundtrack fills in the space left by his silent epiphany "a nation turns its lonely eyes to you". The camera does exactly as the music foretells. UGH! The song croons about looking all around, and realizing defeat. It representing both his profession, and his shadow. A New York stockbroker refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud case involving corruption on Wall Street, corporate banking world and mob infiltration. When Denam sees the reflection in the mirror of a law firm, and thus "reflects" on what he gave up. He lies constantly and is driven by his own selfish actions. Donnie proves to be unlikable in his actions. Fans love to watch Donnie's wild partying behavior, but he isn't as likable as some of his peers. He makes for some of the funniest moments in the film. Oh! By far my favorite use of music has got to be Mrs. Donnie is Jordan's best friend in The Wolf Of Wall Street. The completely beautiful and transcendent number that plays over that bat being cracked while extras bounce off the camera lens and a multitude of activities that would keep a man busy for three hours with a telescope and just one frame, (gasp) let alone that this goes on for three hours on a fucking MASIVE field of view. I love "never say never" playing as Jordan decides its best to keep his options open as far as a mate is concerned. That being representative of what is happening in the mind, green being the color of sickness (insane), lightning being the lightning that follows the "smokestack". It comes right after we see that green lightning bolt. We have "insane in the membrane" being representative of a drug addled mind. The Wolf of Wall Street is a 2013 American epic biographical black comedy crime film co-produced and directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Terence Winter, based on Jordan Belfort 's 2007 memoir of the same name. so powerful! When the strippies collide with those in front and behind "STOP YOUR TRAIN" is heard. When Leo is cutting up the coke and you hear "THAT SPOON THAT SPOON". These tracks are like demons that posses the film. Starting with "Spoonful" and "Smokestack Lightning". I have seen the movie three times in the theater and each time my astonishment grows. The soundtrack is profoundly great! Anyone else completely blown away? ![]()
